Neymar To Replace Ronaldo
Ronaldo has become a Real Madrid legend ever since signing from Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United back in the summer of 2009.
However, despite firing Los Blancos to the Champions League and La Liga titles last term, the 32-year-old is currently stuck in a rut.
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored just eight times this season with Real Madrid already eight points behind Barcelona in the race for the Spanish title.
And Mundo Deportivo say Real are planning to offload the Portugal international if his troubles continue.
Club president Florentino Perez has always publicly backed Ronaldo to overcome his troubles and rediscover his best form.
But Perez now supposedly foresees a future without the veteran given his current plight.
And Mundo Deportivo claim Los Blancos would love to make Neymar his replacement.
The Brazil international is currently in his first season at PSG since signing from Barcelona in a £200million deal back in August.
But that has not stopped Real from shortlisting him as their ideal Ronaldo replacement.
It is said Perez thinks that, should Ronaldo continue to toil, Neymar’s signing must be accelerated come the end of the campaign.
Meanwhile, manager Zinedine Zidane defended his talisman after Real’s 3-0 win over Las Palmas yesterday.
Ronaldo failed to get on the scoresheet again, meaning he has just one goal from 11 games.
But Zidane insists the Euro 2016 winner remains a useful asset.
"You [the media] always think of negative things and I think positive," he said.
