Harry Kane reveals his favourite goal after reaching 100 milestone
Tottenham striker Harry Kane reached 100 goals recently and has now revealed which one of those goes down as his favourite strike.
The Englishman is currently the most prolific striker in world football and has shown no signs of slowing down.
The player is currently top of the Premier League goalscoring charts this season, just one ahead of Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
Though, the player has been looking back at his first 100 goals and has even named his favourite.
Unsurprisingly, the player has selected one of his goals against North London rivals Arsenal.
That came during a 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane during the 2015-16 season.
‘I think my favourite was the one against Arsenal,’ he said.
‘I cut in off the left-hand side and whipped it into the far corner, post-and-in. An amazing atmosphere at the time and obviously a great goal as well.’
It all started on one Monday night against Sunderland and Kane has also recalled that first goal.
‘It was my first start in the Premier League, I was so excited, Monday night football! It was an amazing feeling to score and obviously it was the start.’
Now, he will be targeting a record-breaking top goalscorer award at the end of the season, as that would be his third consecutively, a feat only Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry have managed.
‘Yeah, hopefully, I can do it [but] there is still a long way to go,’ he added. ‘I’m ahead now, so hopefully, I can just maintain that.
‘[But] the most important thing is that we keep winning games and hopefully my goals can contribute to that.’
