21 Savage Pilots First Solo Flight
21 Savage gets fly, literally.
The Slaughter Gang MC showed off his high-flying skills during his first-ever solo flight as a pilot, while girlfriend Amber Rose captured the moment on social media.
After five months of flying lessons, the Issa Album star took control of a Cirrus SR20 for an hour-long flight in Florida, according to TMZ. Rose and 21’s friend Shy D sat behind him, cheering him on, while an instructor sat by his side.
“My baby is flying a plane right now,” Rose said in a video from the flight. “I’m so nervous!”
21 has long dreamed of becoming a pilot, according to the report. This year, he decided to make that dream come true, copping a license, which reportedly runs around $10,000.
The flight took place just two days after his 25th birthday, which he celebrated with an introspective Instagram caption. “bitter sweet day,” he wrote. “every birthday is another year I’m alive and another year my right hand man gone only if y’all knew the feeling … and y’all talk about street cred fuck da street I’m glad I’m a rapper I ain’t gotta shoot and look over my shoulder no mo.”
Savage has been soaring on the Billboard Hot 100, too. His Post Malone collaboration “rockstar” is currently No. 1 on the chart for the second week in a row. Plus, his debut Issa Album was just certified gold.
